It's January 6th and I've already failed my daily journaling multiple times.  Must. Get. Better!

CHANGES AND SICKNESS

CENTENNIAL, CO

Thus far, a lot has changed in just a few days.  I've started back on the graveyard shift working three 12 hours shifts and a 4 hour shift.  It's been several years since I've been on nights so I'm a bit anxious as to how I will do.  On paper, it gives me a lot more time to workout, but we'll just have to see how tired I am.

I have noticed that my appetite is smaller and I'm craving basic foods instead of big, heavy meals.  Hopefully that will last.

I'm also sick so that has me feeling pretty tired as well.  Hopefully it's just a quick sinus and chest cold that goes away soon.

Also this week, my wife has gone out of town for a few days for work ,,, and the kids are back in school ... and our youngest has her first basketball game ... and our oldest has a flat tire ... and ... and ... and ... I think you get the message.  No worries though, I'm not going to stress over any of it.

With all of this, I'm not doing any heavy activity but am doing a lot of stretching.  I honestly believe that the stretching makes my cold feel better.

Looking forward to feeling better and getting more active.

HOMEMADE SALSA

CENTENNIAL, CO

As part of my get fit plan, I'm going to be eating more home made foods.  Tonight I made a mostly home made salsa.  I used 3 different cans of seasoned or roasted tomatoes, a spoonful of diced garlic, 1/2 a small white onion and a bit of salt.  Yum!

Late Start

Centennial, CO

It's January 3rd, 2015 and I'm just getting started on my New Year Resolution.  Based on the title of my blog, my goal is to lose about 30% of my body weight.  260 down to 185.  I've seen the success stories on TV so I know it'll be super easy!

Second place: David Brown lost 222 lbs during the show and narrowly missed out on winning

I'm still not completely sure how I'm going to do this.  I will use the next few days to work out my fitness and nutrition planning.  I plan to be fully into the swing of it by January 7th.
